米FDA、アリピプラゾールの自閉症への適応を承認


2009年11月19日、アメリカの食品医薬品局（FDA）は、アリピプラゾール（商品名エビリファイ®）の小児の自閉性障害に対する適応を承認しました。

これについて、大塚製薬からプレスリリースも出ています。
「ABILIFY®」 アリピプラゾール　「小児（6～17歳）の自閉性障害による易刺激性の治療」の効能がFDAから追加承認

承認にタイミングをあわせたのか、治験（NCT00337571 ）の結果に関する論文 もでています。

今回承認された適応は以下のとおりです。
Treatment of irritability associated with Autistic Disorder in pediatric patients (aged 6 to 17 years), including symptoms of aggression towards others, deliberate self-injuriousness, temper tantrums, and quickly changing moods

日本語訳：小児（6-17歳）の自閉性障害における易刺激性（他者への攻撃性、意図的な自傷行為、かんしゃく、気分の易変性を含む）の治療

僕自身、最近は肥満や食事のコントロールに関してリスクのあるケースを中心に、アリピプラゾールを使うことが増えてきています。FDAでの承認は心強いニュースです。

ところで日本では適応拡大の治験はやらないのでしょうか…。
